Genesis International: Structural Synthesis & Strategic Outreach Ascent

[OLD LOGO]

The Brief

Genesis International, a house of specialty chemicals for leather, wood, construction and much more, was initially founded by Mr. Kousik Maity. He was operating two separate entities in the same industry with almost no proper outreach management and corporate structure despite of both the entities performing very good making exponential turnover, serving global customers.

Client's Objective

Mr. Maity wanted a clear re-structuring and strategic outreach management through physical and digital methods. His special demands were, complete Re-Branding, LinkedIn Activation, Web & Digital Revamp and Turnkey Marketing Management. His clear goal was market presence and better physical & digital outreach.

Initial Consultation & Challenges

After our consulting session & research, we found some major challenges that could affect the total existence of the company specially in terms of digital outreach and web-positioning. The major challenges were:

  • Two-Entities: The client was operating with two separate entities in the same market with prior difference.
  • Tight Purse: The client was little hesitant with budget as they never had any prior outreach or re-structuring before and also a bit worried about the potential outcomes.
  • Competition: Genesis International didn’t have much direct competition as they had an outsourcing model as well but there were some prominent entities already existing in the market with similar name prefix.
  • No Foundation: As they never had proper re-structuring, branding or outreach, so there was no base to start from, we had to develop everything from scratch.

Our Solution

We conducted extensive research and analyzed every bit or information available and came-up with the following solutions:

  • Merge/Drop: We advised the client to continue with only one entity, and we choose Genesis International because of some obvious conditions visible to us.
  • Initial Budgeting & Cut-Downs: As the budget was tight and client was a bit hesitant, we cut-down unessential paths, and focused on what actually matters because client’s total business is B2B
  • Foundational Development: We went on for complete re-branding, and defined clear strategy for market positioning.

Re-Branding

We decided to go with a modern corporate sleek design which is easier to re-call as the company is primarily focused in B2B. We choose “Golden Yellow” and “Forest Green” as brand colors, keeping in mind that golden/yellow represents purity & success and green represents nature & growth, which are perfect following the company focuses on eco-friendly chemicals. Market Positioning & Outreach Ascent

Client initially wanted to position as a wood chemical company with their product ranges of anti-microbial agents for plywood, wood veneer coloring and fire-retardants. We took as mix or pull & push approach.

The products were primarily all chemicals. These kind of liquid preservatives are not beneficial if shown directly as they are a integrated part of the manufacturing of a final product. So instead, we went on to the final outcome, the outcome that one will get if the preservatives are used, so end consumers and industry experts, both can get a quick understanding.

Final Remarks

Genesis International, a house of specialty chemicals, despite of marvelous turnovers, were struggling to have a clear corporate standard structural outreach system, digitally and physically.
